Description

Layaway is available for this item; please contact me for details! My layaway plans are quite generous, and I'm more than willing to work you to find a payment plan that works for your budget!

I also have a decorated wolverine headdress here: [link]

Materials: Wolverine skin, leather

Description: Here's something you don't see every day--a wolverine headdress! I started with a really good quality pelt, with all paws and claws. The head was pretty badly squashed and stiff, but I reshaped it as much as it could be, and looks a LOT better. I added in detailing on the face, and then gave this lovely girl (yes, she's female) deerskin straps--one set to tie under the chin, one to wrap the forelegs around the upper chest/neck (more for balance and decoration than weight-bearing), and a second weight-bearing set at the hind legs to wrap around the waist and keep the pressure off the chin strap.

She's 49 1/2" long from tip of nose to tip of tail, and while you can see she fits my 5'4" frame pretty well, she'll also fit most people (the straps allow for a variety of body types). As with all my work she's been ritually purified and is ready for totemic dance and other sacred rituals; she's also just a really pretty hide in general.

This is a rarity--wolverine pelts are much harder to come by than, say, wolf or coyote! And you don't see them as headdresses/costumes very often, either.

I can also add details, such as my signature fangs, or other decor, for additional cost for materials and labor--customization is my specialty, so feel free to ask :) I guarantee the workmanship on all my masks and other headdresses, and should this ever need reshaping or other repair, I will do it free of charge!

Price: $550

Where do you get your furs from? I only ask because with wolverines already struggling to stay in a stable population in North America I can't in good conscience buy anything of them that was obtained through hunting or trapping.
