Materials: Wolf skull, leather, glass beads, wolf paw with claws, acrylic paint
Dimensions: 29" long
Description: I originally created this beautiful wolf skull rattle as a custom order, but it was never claimed after several months, so I'm offering it for general purchase. The skull came from a wolf hunted in Alaska; I painted it black with red chevrons and other markings, and sealed it well to protect the paint. The long handle, made from 3/4" wood dowel, is wrapped in black deerskin leather, with tassels with glass beads in red, white, and black. At the end is a genuine black wolf hind paw with all four paws.
The brain case is full of small stones which create a sharp, not too loud rattle. This is a powerful ritual item, not to be used lightly. The deep, dark spirit carries many mysteries, kept only for the person to whom it will go.
