WIP Przewalski Drum - Sky

Been in need of some stress relief, so I'm painting one of the drums I held back for decoration. This is a 13" horse hide that's going to have a Przewalski's horse theme. I know I'm kind of doing things backwards by having the outline of the horse down before the backgrounds, but pencil wasn't showing up on the dark horse hide, and I needed to have some scale

Also, this is my first time painting the sky in any real detail, and I'm rather proud of my freehand attempt! It's not done--there's going to be more stuff in the sky over on the left hand side where there's a brown tint, for example. But I'm happy with it so far The photo makes things look a little less blended than they actually are, but otherwise it's a nice capture.

I figure I'll keep working on this til it's time for the Skin Spirits livestream, and I'll show folks my progress before we start the workshop proper.
