Description
Ladies and gentlemen, Hutts and Ithorians, Wookiees and Geonosians, may I present to you—the Teacup Tauntaun! This taxidermied specimen was the last of her kind, and the sad tale of her species may be found in natural historian Haali Dendrac’s newest offering, The Tragic Treatise of the Teacup Tauntaun (the first half of which may be read here:www.thegreenwolf.com/the-tragi…).
I created this altered taxidermy piece for the Star Wars-themed group show at Good: A Gallery this May. The base is an antique Corsican ram mount that I got on Craig’s List; it was in rather sad shape when I got it, but it’s been reborn (along with some epoxy putty, acrylic paint, and a pair of domestic goat horns) as a one of a kind piece of fan art (complete with its own fan fiction!)
