Horned God Athame 1

Description: I managed to get a hold of the leg bone and legskin of a red deer stag, which are exceptionally hard to source here in the U.S. The leg bone became the handle of a beautiful bone knife, painted in acrylics and decorated with chocolate brown deerskin and braided brown waxed linen cord. I painted the cow bone blade with a stag hoofprint and a line of dots up the center, just on one side.

The sheath is made of more deerskin, and the tanned red deer legskin, with the complete hoof. I added detailing and belt loops made of more braided cord, and completed the sheath with a gorgeous handmade ceramic stag button.

This is by far the most elaborate knife I\'ve done; it would be excellent for ritual work, shamanic and neopagan alike, as well as make a beautiful display on an altar or shrine. Invoke the Horned God, or call on the totemic Stag, this will be an excellent sacred knife for the working!
