Big rune, little rune

Description

(Apologies for the crappy picture; I’m getting home too late for daylight, and too tired to drag out any lighting rigs.)

Here's a comparison of a couple samples from two of the three carved deer antler divination sets I just uploaded to my Etsy shop. The smaller rune here is from one of my mini/pocket divination sets with a necklace pouch (the other set in that size is Celtic ogam with the forfeda included). The larger in the picture is from an elder futhark rune set using extra-large antler slices, and a nice leather drawstring pouch. They're all available over here : [link] ($30 for the mini sets, $40 for the big one!).

Alright, crashing for the night and then Day 4 of WFR training tomorrow.

I really like these, and I wasn't really sure if I should use the Critique feature or not. Since I've never tried it before, you get to be my guinea pig (so to speak).

I love the shape and feel of deer antler and I think that is a great material choice, especially if they are intended to be used for meditation.

The engravings are clear and easy to decipher. The only thing I would suggest, and this might have to do with photo quality, is some manner of ink or other antiquing/darkening liquid to make the rune itself stand out a little more. I don't know how the antler would react to that sort of a treatment, but I am envisioning something similar to the darkening achieved by a wood burning tool.

Overall, I think that they look great <img src="e.deviantart.net/emoticons/s/s…" width="15" height="15" alt=":)" title=":) (Smile)"/>
